Center for Innovation in Mathematics, Physics, and Computational Theory

A research center advancing interdisciplinary work at the intersection of theoretical physics, mathematics, and computational science — developing new analytical frameworks and bringing modern methods in artificial intelligence and quantum information to bear on fundamental questions.

About

Research at the intersections

IMPACT fosters collaboration across traditional disciplinary boundaries. By uniting theoretical physics, mathematics, and computational science, the Center develops novel analytical frameworks and leverages modern computational methods, including artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum information (QI), to address fundamental questions in mathematics and physics.

The exchange runs both ways: techniques from mathematics and physics are, in turn, brought to bear on fundamental problems in AI and quantum information.

The Center sustains a vibrant intellectual community through a seminar series, research exchanges, and a visitor program, while training the next generation of researchers through mentorship and funding opportunities for graduate students.
